Twenty years in sales taught me what not to do.
I'm Tommy Walid, a real estate investment advisor based in Dubai. Before guiding clients, I spent nearly twenty years in sales — long enough to know exactly what I didn't want to become.
A personal introduction video is coming soon.
The Path
Originally from Réunion Island, I spent nearly twenty years in sales and business development before specializing in real estate. My time at Eagle Hills in Morocco brought me close to Dubai's world for the first time. A personal trip sealed the decision — the ambition of the city, but even more, how transparent the buying process looked compared to anything I'd known before.
The Turning Point
It wasn't one bad boss who shaped how I work — it was a pattern I watched repeat, job after job, year after year: clients pushed toward bad decisions for a commission. I decided to do the opposite: educate first, advise second, sell last.
Why Dubai, For Me
Dubai still surprises me — its ambition, and the sheer range of people building a life here: investors, entrepreneurs, families from every corner of the world. It's a city where the market's rigor and transparency make possible what would feel far less certain elsewhere.
Where This Is Going
I'm not trying to build a large firm. I'd rather stay small enough to know every client personally than manage volume. The day I can no longer personally answer every message is the day I'll have grown in the wrong direction.
“My objective is simple: my clients should sleep well, knowing their wealth is invested intelligently.”
